July Vacation
This year we went on a family vacation to Lake Powell. It was a great trip and one of the best I have ever had! We started our trip on Friday morning headed to Fish Lake for Matt to do a job in a cabin out there. We left the house at 6:30 am and arrived at 8:30 am. It was beautiful and not a bad drive at all. We stayed at the cabin while Matt changed out a panel and I helped by changing out some of the outlets (well at least the ones without spiders). When we got done we went down to the lodge and walked around a bit it was so pretty and very peaceful. It was a little chilli but I think I was the only one who noticed! We want to plan a fishing trip back when we have another chance to get out again with some friends.

Easter in Arizona
This year for Easter we went to Arizona to visit family (friends). We drove and I am not too good in the truck for long periods of time so we decided to stay overnight at the half way point. We booked a room in Page Arizona (5 hours into the trip). It was perfect timing and it gave us some time to check out the Damn at Lake Powell. It was really neat and I have not seen it since I was 17 when we toured it with the family and friends on one of our Lake Powell trips.
We took one day when the “Girls” went to the spa and the “Boys” went to the Air Museum. They had alot of fun and got to see the planes there that where in some of the wars. They also went on a tour where they told the history of many of the planes. Garrett fell asleep so I dont think that was his favorite part of the day. In the spa I had a hot stone massage and it was heaven, highly recomended!!!
Gage – Chicken Pox
So about a year ago Gage came home from school with a lovely gift for me……THE CHICKEN POX!!! At first he only had a few but soon after he was covered! I was not happy at all because he had gotten the vaccine and should not have got them at all. Maybe the gave him a shot that made him want to eat and grow instead of the chicken pox shot. He was so miserable and I felt so bad for him, he thought he was pretty lucky because he was able to miss two weeks of school. I just hope that Garrett NEVER gets them, they are not fun at all. Here are a few pictures of him
Basketball Gage
Gage was on a city Basketball team this year and he had a lot of fun. He had a game every Saturday for 8 weeks. Gage seems to always get put on the team that doesn’t have a great attendance
Well I guess that means he gets to play more when nobody shows up. He did really good and became a great ball player and team-mate as well. Gage is very compassionate to others and never gets mad when they don’t win. He has the best sportsmanship I have ever seen, it is something that is rare for being only 11. Here are a few photos of his games.
Sleding with friends
On Sunday March 1 we went up to Sara’s cabin and went sledding…..It was so much fun. We rode the four wheelers in and played for hours. We had lunch (Chili not Wise when you have to ride home with three stinky boy’s). Becca brought her cocomotion that makes hot chocolate and it was awesome. I will be asking for one of those
She made us adults a yummy Chai and we sat in the sun and relaxed. Matt was a poligamist for a day but with three great sister wives I did not hear any complaining!! The kids had so much fun and got along so well, not any arguing at all. It was such a great day and the sun felt so good. Everyone got a bit of sun and it softened the snow so it made it a bit hard to get out. Matt was the hero and got us all out okay. We where stuffed with stuff on the way back and I had to be pulled behind the wheeler on a tube. The snow was so soft that if we stopped we would get stuck again so Matt said I should ride “just in case”. I was freaked out but being the mom I am jumped on and we where off. I did pretty good until Matt ran over a bush and I was tossed into the air and then landed right on my butt and tipped over onto my face. I was laughing so hard I felt no pain, Matt had tears and said we could have one a lot of money of we had been recording. Gage was scared for me the whole time and thought I was going to slide off of the road and down the cliff (could have happened it was pretty scary). We got back all on one piece and had such a great time with such great friends. Here are a few pictures of our day.
Stomp for the cure
This is my favorite picture! Becca, me and Sara. My BFF’S
So on February 7th we did a Breast Cancer snowshoe event. It was to help raise money for the cure of breast cancer. It was so much fun and we had a great time doing something for a great cause! We went up the night before and stayed in a hotel (we had to be at the course at 8:30 am) so we did not have to drive to the Mt Dell Golf course in the morning. We had intentions on doing the 5K but we ended up doing a 3K due to some medical conditions
Rebbeca gave blood the day before and we stayed up until about 3 AM so her energy level was a bit low (as was all of ours
. Camille had two really bad bloody noses and we ended up making a great picture moment out of it! We had so much fun and really loved that the weather turned out to be so beautiful and dry. At the end of the event they did awards and we all got our pictures taken means that we where about the only team in uniform – thanks to Rebbeca and another one of her great ideas
At the awards ceremony they had all of the women who where or who had fought breast cancer to go to the front. It was very emotional and we all had to fight back the tears. I was shocked that most of the women who where standing looked to be my age or very close to it. It really makes you grateful for your health and what you have in this life. Rebbeca won a great prize of a set of snowshoes, poles and gators (love my gators best investment I have made for snowshoeing). It was a amazing weekend and we are going to do it again next year. If any of you are interested please comment on my blog and I will let you know when we will sign up again. It is well worth it for sure. The more the better and next year Matt is going as well so bring your husbands too
Here are a few of our photo shots – We love to take pictures

Me, Becca, Sara, Christin
All five girls fit all of there stuff with snowshoes into this little Lexus trunk – WOW that’s good!

I am ready for the day to get started!!

Love the shoes and wool sock look on Sara

Camille, Christin, Sara, Becca and me. Getting ready to hit the trail.
Snow Shoe anyone?!?!
Some friends and I have taken up the fun winter sport of SNOW SHOEING!!! Matt bought me some shoes for Christmas (because it was the only thing I wanted
I love it and it makes winter not feel so harsh and depressing. I do not like to be stuck inside all day and night and winter makes me feel stuck but now I have no reason to stay inside and mope
We have so much fun going out and just hitting any trail or mountain side we want on a nice day. My friends are great and have there own shoes as well so we make it out quite a bit. Here are a few photos of us up Diamond Fork (about 10 minutes up Spanish Fork Canyon).
