un-employed for the first time in 15 years!!!
I am shocked it has almost been two month since I last Blogged!!! Sorry and I will try to keep up more. I should be able to do more blogging now that I am no longer employed (like the other 42% of America). I was laid off from my job at BMC West on January 21 after 14 years and four months of service. The building departments have been hit very hard with the housing downfall and I just hope they will be able to pull through these hard times. So I should be blogging a bit more
Yeah!!! I do have hopes to go back to school but I am so scared and don’t know if I will be ale to make it. I am going to take a CNA class to get my certification and then I would love to look into getting into becoming a Surgical Technician but we will have to see. I am now working on the math test for the program and the first round kicked my butt! I forgot how much I don’t like math and most of it means that I have not done it for such a long time is erased from my brain. Good thing Matt is smart and such a great tutor to me he is so patient and willing to help me. I take the test next week so wish me luck
Gage watches as Garrett attempts to open the gift that he wrapped for him – Good job Gage….How many rolls of tape did that take??? Oh well at least he was not going to be able to peek in that one
Dad and Garrett love the new jumbo remote.
Garrett loved his new Quicksilver jacket, he needed one so bad. He wore the last one with a broken zipper and the thumb oles where tore and tied back together
He is a little hard on his clothes to say the least!!!
Matt got Gage and himself new Boston hat’s and Gage absolutely LOVES his.
Happy 11th Birthday Gage
How crazy is it that my kid is 11!!! How is this possible? It feels like yesterday when he would ask for his BG (blanket) and want me to rock him to sleep! I love so much about this boy and I am so lucky to have him as my son. We went to Nickelcade with some friends and went to Chilli’s with the family and Grandma and Grandpa Robbie. Gage ate a full plate of ribs and was still hungry…why is that no longer surprising to me??? He is now the same height as me and that is so wrong! He asked for a rip stick for his birthday means that I ran the last one over on Halloween
He has not left anything out since….at least he learns from my mistakes. Well Gage, I love you more then you can imagine and I am so proud of the person who you are thanks for being you and such a great son, I love you – love Mom

Thanks….Giving
I feel that Thanksgiving is a time to be thankful for what we have and have been given in this great lifetime. I know we should be thankful all of the time but it is always that easy. I know that I am thankful for so much but usually think of the things in life that I don’t have or want….human nature is never satisfied! Here are a few thought of mine….
Thank you for allowing me to be me.
For letting me shine when I have earned that right.
For patting me on the back when I have done good.
For putting me in check when I was overly cocky.
For appreciating that I’d do just about anything to help anyone ~
For not taking advantage of that fact!
Thank you for being you.
For coming through with help when you know I’m to stubborn to ask for it.
For building my confidence by recognizing what I do accomplish.
For keeping me humble – without hurting my confidence.
For not judging me too harshly, because I really am only human.
For forgetting those judgments – because that’s what friends do.
For realizing as my friend, you are on a pedestal
For understanding that I of course expect superhuman traits (like reading my mind) from you.
For forgiving me when I have been too hard on you.
For knowing that when I’m hard on you it’s usually because I’m disappointed in myself.
For knowing I’d never intentionally hurt you or your feelings.
For making me laugh when I wanted to cry.
For lending your shoulder when I needed to cry, without making me feel like a wimp.
For knowing I’m one of the guys, who’s still a girl and even sometimes a lady.
So this Thanksgiving – remember I am thankful for you.Your individuality. Your uniqueness. Just plain ole YOU! Your unconditional love of someone just like me, who love’s you unconditionally for being in my life.
I have been so grateful for my parents who sacrificed so much for me to have never let me go with-out anything!
my husband who puts up with me…and somehow still seems to love me through it all, for all he does as a husband and a father, all of his hard work, love and laughs.
For my awesome boys who put meaning into my everyday and make me so happy to be a mom.
For my family….they have helped to make me the person I am today (like it or not
I am grateful to have come from a large family and to have multiple siblings who are also my friends.
Thanks to everyone who is in or has passed through my life, all of my life experiences have made my who I am and I am grateful that you are in my life. Thanks for being part of the ride and I hope we have a long and happy road ahead!!!
Love,
Britt

Garrett makes a really cute girl!! So this is what our daughter would have looked like if we had one
Gage was a gangster…..He sure looks old with facial hair
He wanted to be a clown but nothing was scary enough for him so we changed our costume all together.
Another one of Garretta

WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE!!!!
Gage and Mom – it is so hard to get a nice picture when you cant tell them to quite making faces!!!
Me and my daughter-don’t we look a lot alike????
We found a stranger in our yard….but I took care of him!!!
Matt made me take this picture, thanks honey!!
Gage and Mom’s night out
Tonight Gage and I got to go out and spend some time together. Matt went to the cabin to do some wiring with Russ and the guys and Garrett went with Bubba for his birthday. We went to fat cats and went bowling but had a slow start at catching on to how those stupid pins where supposed to fall over. Gage was pretty discouraged at first but got a few really good balls thrown. The best part to him was the arcade but I thought his shoes where way HOT!!!
I am pretty sure I won but trust me that is rare!! Gage was mad because he didn’t throw it perfect every time (I am positive he has Matt’s temper).
After we where done at the bowling alley we went to get an ice cream at our favorite place…..COLDSTONE!!!! Gage got his usual; Cotton Candy and I got mine; chocolate with yellow cake and the other half sweet cream, YUMMY! As we ate our ice cream we drove around S.F. and they had the street decorated with fun Halloween stuff. We decided (well i decided) to take some pictures with them. We had a good laugh and people driving by thought we where crazy, they where right.
We had a lot of fun acting crazy and I think I found me a boyfriend that knows how to cook!!!
I also got to meet Gage’s new girlfriend…don’t tell him but I think she can be a witch sometimes!!!
I even ran into one of my friends there, we are really close!!!
We had a great time together and time went by really fast. We got done with the pictures and decided we better get some food (ice cream to me is considered food). So we stopped at Carl’s Jr. for Gage to get a burger. When we got home I told him that we where going to take Molly to the vet to get her “fixed” in a couple of weeks. Well that opened up a whole new can of worms…..or should I say sperms!!! He started asked THE QUESTIONS and to make a long story short we ended up having “THE TALK”. It was pretty low key but he may have lost his appetite for a minute but quickly got it back.
I drew a little picture to explain to him the whole process…….Now no laughing, I have never claimed to be an artist I can barley draw a stick figure!! Gage was quickly crossing it out as I was trying to take a picture.
